Your brand is your handle. The handle that opens the door to your business, its products and services.

Competing with Your Competitors

In the last post, we talked about two type of competitors: direct and indirect.

Branding: Poster showing direct competitors and how they are competing with couponsDirect competitors sell what you do in a manner that you do it. Indirect competitors sell a similar product, but in a different way. Sit down restaurant versus a sit down restaurant are direct competitors. Sit down restaurant versus a fast food restaurant are indirect competitors. Both serve food, but with a different type of menu, pricing and way of serving customers.

This company’s poster shows who their direct competitors are: Aldi, Ingles, Publix, The Fresh Market. Who are you direct competitors?

One way this company is directly competing is with coupons. “We are offering you the same savings without losing the service, quality and selection you expect from Harris Teeter.”

What is one way you are competing with competitors to reach and service similar customers?
